Snake is one of the oldest arcade ideas still in daily use: a line that grows every time it eats and ends the run when it touches itself.

- Swipe up, down, left or right on a phone, or use the arrow keys or WASD on a computer, to turn the snake.
- Run into food to grow. Your score is your length.
- The edges wrap around, so leaving the screen on one side brings you back on the opposite side.
- There are blocks on the board. Hitting one, or hitting your own body, ends the run.
Tips from the team
- Leave yourself an exit. Long snakes usually die by trapping themselves in a pocket, not by being slow.
- Use the wrap-around on purpose: crossing an edge is often the shortest path to the food.
- Turn early. Late turns near a block are the usual cause of death.
- Once you are long, keep a loose spiral and keep your tail within reach of your head.
About this game
This version has no power-ups and no new rules. It is the game you already know, so the only thing being tested is how far ahead you plan.
